How long have you been in the Asheville area?
We moved to Candler this past summer. My husband Bob and I grew up and met in Mississippi. We lived in GA for a few years and absolutely fell in love with the mountains. We were very excited to see that God had a plan for us in North Carolina where Bob accepted the Maintenance Director position at MPA.
Tell us about your family.
My husband and I have been married for 10 years and together we have 5 beautiful kids - my two bonus kids Ethan (20), Paisley (16), our son Benjamin (7) and the caboose of our crew - Haven and Shiloh (5)
How did you first get connected with APCS?
We were excited to hear that MPA had their elementary school on campus and were immediately interested. I had been in contact with Mrs. Miller for a few months trying to get our ducks in a row from out of state before the big move. After finally arriving, we got to tour APCS for our three youngest and met Mrs. Miller… a couple weeks later she reached out to me regarding the office manager position. I was surprised! The timing could b not have been more perfect - our twins were moving on to kindergarten and I could stay busy and involved.
What do you hope for APCS?
I'm looking forward to being a part of a community that loves Jesus and getting involved with a school that staff are proud to work at.
What are your hobbies?
Cooking, baking, natural living, outdoorsy things like biking, camping, and hanging out with my husband and kids.
