What are you looking forward to about the Asheville area?
I was born & raised in the Chicagoland area, so plains & flatlands are what I'm used to. Seeing mountains has always brought me joy, so I can't wait to be surrounded by the beautiful landscape the Asheville area has to offer.
Tell us about your family.
I've been married to my husband for almost 12 years, but we've known each other since high school. We have four kids: Lilly (9), Rosie (6), Johnny (4) & Holly (2). They CANNOT wait to join the APCS family.
How did you first get connected with APCS?
When I came into town with my husband for his interview with AdventHealth Hendersonville, I set up a tour of APCS in preparation for our kids enrolling. I immediately fell in love with the campus!
What preparation did you have for your role at APCS?
I was an elementary teacher at my alma mater, Hinsdale Adventist Academy, on-and-off for 10 years. My first year, I taught 5th & 6th, then several years in 4th & eventually worked my way down to lower elementary. Pre-COVID, I was the Children's Ministries Director at Bolingbrook Church in Bolingbrook, IL. I love working with kids & sharing the love of Jesus.
What are your hobbies?
Any spare moment I have, I spend with my family. We're looking forward spending more time outdoors in this beautiful area.
